The other therapies we can offer are:
Acupressure
Acupressure is thought to be one of the oldest healing traditions in the world. It is based on the concept of acupoints as acupuncture, but fingertip pressure is used rather than needles.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture began with the discovery that stimulating certain areas of the skin affected the functioning of specific organs. Treatment involves inserting fine stainless steel needles into acupoints and is effective for a variety of conditions due to its power to stimulate our own healing response.
Aromatherapy
Can be used to alleviate a wide range of specific symptoms or as a relaxant/stress relief. Each plant essential oil used in aromatherapy massage has its own characteristic aroma and profile of therapeutic properties, relaxing or invigorating.
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a straightforward way of adjusting the bones of the body in order to relieve pain and restore movement. The aim of chiropractic is to maintain the correct alignment of the spine and pelvis, thus ensuring that your body's nerve supply works efficiently.
Homeopathy
Homeopathy is an effective and scientific system of healing which assists the natural tendency of the body to heal itself. Remedies are prescribed on the principle of ‘like cures like’ and the individual way in which the client expresses their symptoms rather than for their ’disease’.
Massage
Massage is an excellent way to relax mind and body, and so bring relief from everyday stresses and strains. It also helps to restore a sense of calmness and balance after any shock or trauma.
Nutritional Advice
Most people can eat a wide range of foods without any problems. However, some people react to certain foods and would benefit from avoiding food types in order to improve health and wellbeing. A nutritionist gives an individual consultation to determine food strategies which can optimise good health.
Osteopathy
Problems in the framework of the body can disturb the circulatory system or nerves to any part of the body, and affect any aspect of health. Osteopaths work to restore the musculo-skeletal system of the body to a state of harmony and balance though gentle movement of skeleton.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a gentle, yet powerful therapy that boosts the body's own healing powers, helping it to deal with imbalance and disease. The therapist applies gentle pressure to the reflex points on the feet. Each reflex point relates to an organ or part of the body. Physical, emotional and mental conditions can be treated.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a form of clothed body work in which hands-on, physical techniques are used to move energy around the body. Shiatsu works to return the body to a state of harmony - this is achieved through deep massage, gentle stretches and joint rotations to release tension and patterns of holding.
Group Sessions
We can also organise group sessions in Pilates, Tai-Chi and Yoga.
